Karesansui garden in Ryōan-ji Temple, Kyoto

Ryōan-ji (The Temple of the Peaceful Dragon) is a Zen temple in northwest Kyoto. The temple and the famous Zen garden, the Karesansui rock garden belong to the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
